I have a Kia Rio 2013 with 52 000 k on it and the other day a C0301 engine code came up I cant find alot of info on this code can anyone help tks
It doesnt seem to effected the car by feeling or sound more like the fuel economy has gone up a little i was getting and avg. 5.8L per 100K now im @ 6.8L per 100 K. I reset the alarm 3 days ago and it has not came back just wanted to further investigate what happened.
Here's a list of the possibilities: Possible causes - Faulty spark plug 1 - Clogged or faulty fuel injector 1 - Faulty ignition coil 1 - Fuel injector 1 harness is open or shorted - Fuel injector 1 circuit poor electrical connection - Ignition coil 1 harness is open or shorted - Ignition coil 1 circuit poor electrical connection - Insufficient cylinder 1 compression - Incorrect fuel pressure - Intake air leak Read more: http://engine-codes.com/p0301_kia.html#ixzz37effLQqW
Thanks for the quick response but the code your speaking about starts with a "P" for powertrain I'm looking for the code that starts with "C" for chassis it's been a pain to find anything all help is appreciated thanks again Reelin68
Oops! Sorry about that. Here's a link I found. Give it a read and see if it relates to your issues. I skimmed it, and it seems this guy had the C code also. He changed the plugs and the O2 sensor, cleared the codes, and everything has been fine. But you're right, not much info for that code.
Thanks for the help I'll see what the outcome is and share my info!! Appreciate the perseverance
