Do you have the usb charge port open on the phone? Had the same thing happen on my wifes phone in my 2013 Silverado, had to turn on the usb setting in her phone then it worked just fine.

Forgot to mention that the phone must be on and unlocked for it to charge.

Agree. This is a phone issue. I phones are picky about chargers.

How do you put your phone on USB but it is always unlocked

It’s unlocked when I hook it up to the charge port then it will go into locked mode after the interval I have got it set for if not in use. On my phone it asked if I wanted to trust this connection, clicked yes and that was it, now it connects automatically when I plug it into my truck. It all depends on the phone.

Have you tried a different cable? My car is finicky about what charge cord it will work with. Also the cords tend to just stop working after a while. I’ve thrown out half a dozen since last summer.
