Question type: Car Customization

Im looking to change my stock 255/70/15r
wheels to 285/70/17r trd rims with all terrain
bf goodrich tires.
Are they going to fit with out lifting the
suspension on the stock suspension? If so
how is it going to affect the ride and off road
capabilities? Also how much height gain will
there be ?
Car is 2015 4x4 sr5 all stock brand new

1 Answer

My stock (non-lifted) 2006 Hilux has 25/70 R 17 wheels and tires and I never have an issue. I am pretty certain there has been almost no changes to the suspension or clearances. Sorry for the fuzzy image but you get the idea.
