i have 03 g35 sedan w/ 205/65-16 tires/wheels. i want to lower it with eibach pro-kit springs. will this dramatically affect the cars camber or handling. is this a good idea? what should i do?
I have a G35 coupe and I'm having a time getting used to the challenges with the tires (only 35k with 10-15k being very noisy) any height (wheel height) will change the camber, however lowering it will have a greater concern and thats wheel travel. Search for challenges with the wheel impacting the wheel well. If you can do it you'll notice much better cornering and handling.
Piece of cake.. .mines lower with no problems :)
I have a pro kit and its giving me hard time. The rims that I am having at this point of time is a 19 inch rim with michelin pilot tyres. Believe it was one of the biggest mistakes that I hda done with my g35. Since i had low profile tyres, the problems are listed below: 1. You will feel the road noise in a crystal clear voice (not a pleasant feeling) 2. Damaged my both lower arm bush sets - both side, complete sets 3. camber affected 4. Ball bearing worn out 5. Tyres burning out faster 6. Lower mpg I am sharing this so that you will not be going through the same that I had to. It would be ideal and better in terms of ride comfort to maintain the stock rims of 16 inch. The nly advantage that you can feel would be the better cornoring and improvised physical appearance -- nothing else.... My recommendation stick to the one what you have -- as you are with the best!!! Good luck!
