Four wheel drive on Toyota rav4

Asked by GuruXWYQB Oct 10, 2018 at 12:46 PM about the 2011 Toyota RAV4

Question type: General

The four wheel drive ends when the speed of the
vehicle reaches twenty-five . How do I get it to stay

I do not believe there is a way to "shut it off", but rather it is electronically controlled and has been programmed to go back to 2WD as soon as it hits 25MPH. I do not think it is possible to make it stay in 4WD. Sorry this doesn't really help you much, but you might be able to dig a little deeper on the internet and maybe find a way around the computer. Good luck!
