If My IKT isn't talking to my car is there a place to put the key to make the car start? Is a 2011 Explorer

Not to my knowledge. It's made that way as an anti-theft device. If it was working in the past, try changing the battery in the key; otherwise, you need to take it to a dealer to have it reprogrammed.
