what size tires can you use on a subaru outback imprezza sport?
I went with 205/65/16s rather than the stock 205/55/16s and have had no problems and a smoother ride. It is a close fit within the wheel wells though because of the bigger sidewall - wouldn't recommend deviating from stock any more than I did with the 205/65/16s.
Phew...that's TALL! I'd more recommend the far better handling H and V-rated 205/60 16 as a really good compromise for bad roads and winter driving. I'm a bit surprised that the 65 series don't rub somewhere. For pure off-road they'd be ok at low speeds, but squishy and rolly in the twisties. If the somewhat ambiguous query is reversed, then the obvious HANDLING upgrade for sportier driving requires getting 17" alloys and going to the OE 205/50 size that works really well. (Those owners with OE 17" can go 195-205/55 17 or even 195/60 17 for winter use.)
