A Service indicator came on, followed but an exclamation point within a triangle. The Service rep doesn't think it means anything serious, but I'm nervous that something is broken. What does this message usually mean?
The word "Service" came on a few weeks ago, in yellow...stays on for 5 seconds, then
goes off. Now that same message comes on in red, followed by an ominous exclamation
point within a triangle. My service rep thinks it may be an indication for an inspection, but I
would be good until late January for that renewal. Any ideas? Thanks!
The exclamation is an alert signal, click the button on the end of the turn signal stalk to cycle through to the 'check control' menu on your dash...."on the turn signal shaft (left side of steering column) there is a scroll tab. Click this up and you will see many status checks and system diagnostics, you can review things like oil level, tire pressure, etc.. Once you see one you would like to review, press the tab on the end of that shaft to run the test and hopefully you will find the solution".
