is there any way to change the default air intake from outside air to inside air?
It's hot here and I would like to not have to remember to change the source of every time I get in the car. Can this be changed
A/C recirculate mode setting is to expedite cooling of the interior space. The difference between Recirc. and outside air setting is similar to cooling your home with the windows open or closed. On recirc. mode 80-90% interior air is mixed with 10-20% outside fresh air to reduce the compressor load and speed up cooling. You have to perform the switch manually as I suspect your vehicle doesn't have automatic HVAC.
Thank you. I don't think I have auto. Will check with dealership. I guess changing it will become second nature like buckling up. I appreciate your help and quick response.
Have the same problem with my 2010 Silverado. I guess no one at GM has allergies or has to drive by skunks. WHAT a PAIN!. My Recirc button already has the paint wore off! I CANNOT switch do recirc when the DEFROST is on. FORD is my next buy.
