Can I use old reprog files with Renault CAN clip V116?

It all depends on what you need it to do, most 'satellite' dealers have now either been taken over by Renault or opted out. Renault have been quite ruthless in thier dealings with privately owned garages that were 'satellite dealers. Hence in the past 5 years or so have made it more difficult to get up-to-date information and software. There are a few problems now which you need security codes for, which are only available to Dealerships via France!! General diagnostics and minimal reprogramming only i'm afraid.

You can use ANY Re-Prog CD with ANY CLiP version that following after the Re-Prog CD Releasing... Example: Latest Re-Prog CD as we know that Released & as LAST from Renault S.A. is Version 97! This Re-Prog CD Released with CLiP version 104 IF i remember correctly... So... From V104 ---> UP and for MANY Years/CLiP Releases you can use this V97 Re-Prog CD till of course the ECU Data files NOT supporting anymore each future Model Year Car! 1x example again: Re-Prog V97 CAN'T to support Megane V! it has upgraded to V117,much better. http://www.xcardiag.com/wholesale/renault-can-clip-newest-version-v117- diagnostic-interface-14.html
