2000 Elantra won't start engine keeps spinning won't engage
Are you saying the starter spins but does not engage? If so you need a new starter.
Not the starter acts like engine doesn't get gas
If the engine is turning over but not starting the next things to check for are spark and gas. Have you done a tuneup lately? Changed the fuel filter?
I had a tune up in April and ran fine for 2 months then would not start. I would leave it a day and it would start. It has happened a few times. Now 3 days left still no start ?
Check your fuel pump and fuse. When you turn on the key you should hear a faint hum if it is running.
Spray some starting fluid right in to intake... not too much.. a 3-4 second squirt, and if it runs for a few seconds then dies you know it's a fuel starvation problem. If it doesn't catch and run at all then it's spark.
OK thanks will do
could be timing belt they snap around 60,000 - 80,000 miles and the engine will just spin happen to me at 60,678 miles
