I HAVE A1997 THUNDERBIRD ( FORD) I HAD PUT THE BATERY IN BACK WORDS I HAD PUT A NEW ALTNATOR IN AND KNOW MY CAR IS OVERHEATING
The only component related to overheating and the alternator is the Serpentine belt. Is it installed wrong? It's possible to install it incorrectly and spin the water pump and fan in the wrong direction.
Did the car start with the battery in backwards or did it battery terminals arc when hooking the ground cable to hot post?
