Trouble with aircon

Asked by Jul 23, 2013 at 10:16 AM about the 2002 Hyundai XG350

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The cooling works fine at first but after say, 30 min, the airflow diminishes even though I
can hear the blower increasing in speed until it goes to max and turns on "Recycle" air.
I thought that the filter might have created a blockage and caused frosting of the heat
exchanger but discovered that there was no filter installed.

Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like the evaporater is freezing up and cutting off the airflow. HTH. -Jim
