Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The back up camera/Chrysler Town & Country is not working but I can read the message checking surroundings and it is black, does anyone has the same problem?

Hi. My mom just bought a 2012 from CarMax, within 2 days her backup stopped working and the blind spot sensors were always ON. She of course took it back in and they said there was a short somewhere and they had to replace a box and the fuses. I'll get the exact info and post. Hopefully you've resolved the problem by now

Most likely the blind spot detection sensor(s) failed, as they tend to do, causing the fuse (M34) to blow. Since the backup camera and backup warning and compass, etc, use that same fuse, this causes those things to stop working. Replacing or disconnecting the blind spot detection sensors (and replacing fuse M34) takes care of the problem, in this case. See photo of the two failed blind spot sensors from my 2012 T&C.

On my Ford F 150 the reverse camera works some times and not others. Any ideas?

Anyone know how to make the grid lines curve when back up so they show you your path? We just purchased a used one and it worked when we test drove but when they wiped the unit to factory settings it was gone? We can't find how to change it.

My camera on my 2014 Town and Country went out 3 months after warranty ran out. figures... Not the fuse . Any other options other than taking it back to overpriced dealership?
