why hynudai 2002 santa fe started jumping when in drive. heard clicking sound while driving car smoking and then stop.

Car started jumping after sitting.  Once running in started smoking follow by clicking
sound--would start but stop after switching gears.

Sounds like a major engine failure. Head gasket, timing belt. Something along that line.
