A round number that comes to mind would be about $5,000 for a relatively good paint job with a basic color and almost no body work. Body work and the quality of the paint job is where you will soak the most money. Installing the body kit could be upwards of $1,000 depending on modifications and time spent on fit and finish issues.

It would be worth your time and money to get a book that tells you anything and everything you want to know about body work, read it and then do all the work yourself. I was able to do that without the reading when I worked at an auto body. I got my body kit, fit it, worked on making it perfect and got it painted for $0. You also get bragging rights when you tell everybody you know that you did all the work yourself.
