when buying a used sonata how can i tell if it is a gl or a gls version?

if it's a 4-cylinder, a manual transmission, or has plain wheels, it's a GL, though V6, automatic, and alloys were available options (all standard on GLS). something to start w/ anyway.

thanks david7989! I looked up the vin at the hyundai website. What was confusing was that they call the base model the base model rather than the GL model versus the GLS model. Plus the car i am buying is a 6 cyl so that threw me off. I thought maybe people abbreviate GLS to GL. Would have like the upgraded model but....got a pretty great price of 6400 for a 2004 with 70000 miles. At least i thought it was good.

Hi David I have an 2006 4dr Sedan Hyundai sonata V6 engine but get confused with the model type not sure GLS or GL or LX
