Is it cranking okay? If it cranks but no start, there may be an issue with the cam or crank sensor, or a lack of fuel pressure. or an issue with the anti theft.

Ken F. thank you. I am old and not very car savvy even though I drive a lot. What do you mean an issue with the anti theft. How would I find out about that? A dealer?

For the anti theft, you would see a blinking red light on the dash somewhere during the no start occurrences. It might happen if the key and anti theft module lost their sync. If you have a remote start that might also interfere with the anti theft too.

Thanks, Ken!

If you mean that you have to put the key into the ignition and remove it ten times before the car will start, I'd suspect you have a defective ignition switch. The electrical contacts or the key itself are probably worn out.
