2010 Buick Enclave, can I remove the Non DVD Radio and Replace with a DVD Radio Version
I recently purchased a used Envlave and it has the regular XM Radio/CD player
(double din size). I want to buy a used DVD style radio with the screen. Does
anyone know if this is a plug and play type scenario? If not, I guess I will buy
an aftermarket at BestBuy, but would be nice to do it myself with the Buick
Enclave OEM DVD player...
No it is not plug and play, the dealer will have to access the BCM to reprogram it so it will activate the player and audio systems. Plus you will need the VIN of the vehicle that the DVD unit was removed from and bill of sale, otherwise they might think it is stolen. It has been my experience that a lot of the aftermarkets have more features and are better built than a factory unit, but stay away from the cheap ones, and stick with known brands.
