2010 Malibu Aftermarket Intake Questions

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2010 Malibu with the 2.4L. I was just wondering if any other owners have tried using the Jet mass air flow sensor. My understanding is if you put an aftermarket air intake on, it is best to put a mass air flow sensor on it. Which brings me to my next question. Injen makes a cold air intake for it and I was wondering if anyone had put one on. I was a little disappointed K&N didnt make one. Im not looking to make it a hot rod, just looking to give it a little more get up and go and better fuel mileage. Put a drop in K&N and it did help a little bit but I want a little bit more. Any suggestions/feedback are much appreciated.

I add a cold air intake and added 5 mpg. I have the 3.6 in mine so I can't say what you will get the same results.
