Bad spark plug wires and while your there put spark plugs in it if they haven't been changed

That was my first thought, but i figured if a spark plug wasnt firing right it would do it all the time, not just after it warms up. But that will be the first thing i do. Couldnt hurt even if it doesnt fix it. Thanks

The plug wires are the problem. They break down under a light load usually when it shifts into overdrive or in fifth gear. I just figured since you were there go ahead and change the plugs.

I definitely will, & yeah its a 5speed
