Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when it was idling a very short time on a lil  hill slope it died and would not
start until I put it in reverse and came off the hill then it started. then
occasional will die after I start it. and or just idling at a light or sitting? I believe

not an elite I meant an lx

How many miles om it and what kind of routine maintenance has been done on it? Could be a clogged fuel filter, fuel pump failing, tank to low on gas or any combination of these.
