Ok, so do you think you may have damaged some wiring at the door/wire harness when you changed the door? Otherwise I see no connection between the 2. Start my checking the battery cables for good ground on black. Then trace the red one with a meter or 12v test light for power. It should go from the battery to the under hood power supply/fuse box. Inside that it should bridge with a fusible link to another red cable and go out to the starter. You also need to check all fuses, especially any marked like Start Ignition charging etc. Sounds like you blew a fuse or shorted a wire while working on it. Let me know what & if you find anything and we will go from there.
