How do I check power steering fluid in 97 ford explorer

Engine off and cold, raise hood, remove the little cap off the top of the power steering pump, if the cap is original it will have a small yellow stripe right on the ridge on the top of the cap, turn it 1/4 turn to the left and lift out, the fluid should be right at the full line on the plastic tube, add some if not at the line, keep checking it so you don't overfill, when it is at the full mark put the cap back on the pump and turn to the right till it stops.
