How to keep things in cargo area secure?

Asked by Nov 01, 2017 at 02:54 AM about the 1995 Honda Passport

Question type: General

I have a 95 Honda passport suv and  my boyfriend
carries a lot of tools in my cargo area. I ALSO have
a 1 year old that would get very hurt or killed in the
event of a bad crash if the tools went flying around
and hit her.. what would you guys suggest I do to
keep anything bad from happening? My boyfriend
refuses to take them out.

I've Seen nets but clearly that will probably not hold down 50-100 lbs of tools.

Selfish, he clearly doesn't think much about you or the child, if he won't remove them the he should buy you a car just for you and the child so both of you can be safer. I never keep anything in my vehicles that will become a projectile in a collision. Even when I had a service van I had protection barriers and the tools were always put back in the box and it was closed and latched, plus th box was secured to the floor, no chance of tools getting loose and flying around and the barriers would have stopped anything from flying forward. He needs to rethink his priorities here.
