could i have warped the block?

you would more likely warp the head. look at your coolant overflow and see if it bubbles and unplug your pcv and feel the end of it when its running. if you feel air and oil like a decent amount coming through your pcv or your coolant is bubbliing then yeah your head is warped or your headgasket is fucked. is it making any weird sounds??
