I broke out the right rear window in my 1999 Honday Odyssey and now it will not start. Why

I metal bar broke my right rear window and now the starter engine won't turn on.

I'm sure by smashing out the window you activated the security system. The car is probably in "lock down" mode. HTH. -Jim
