Can 1000CC Chevrolet Spark drive long distance?
Can 1000CC Chevrolet Spark drive long distance for example 600km once every 2
months. Or it's motor is not good enough? by the way I can give it rest once or twice
along the drive.
What do you mean by not good enough? It's a car , right? Not a fancy one, but, it's a 1 liter engine economy car. Yes, it can go 375 miles every 2 months. Where do you live, Canada? Is that why you are using kilometers? 375 miles is not that far. It is not a long distance, as you put it. The real question you need to ask yourself is, do you want to drive this car almost 400 miles on the highway? It's a very noisy and busy car, and not as safe as a larger vehicle. It's mostly designed for city driving. I hope that this answers your question.
It is not the mileage but the engine's sustained RPM's that would be your problem on a trip like this, so keep the revs down as much as possible, make sure your fluid levels are at specs and as always use a good engine oil and filter. I would change the oil and filter before each trip, I know that seems a bit like over kill but it maybe well worth it in engine life. Like Mark stated, these are city cars, so they are subject to turbulence buffing by passing cars and trucks, and with the narrow stance road imperfections are going to be really felt in the steering and the passengers, you may really look forward to those rest stops.
Read this review and tell me why did they name this car "Spark"? http://m.caranddriver.com/reviews/2013-chevrolet-spark-manual- hatchback-test-review
Cause the only hot about it is the spark
Hello, I came back to Thank you for your answers. Mr. Mark, we use Kilometer count in Egypt, It was very good experience, I even found out 375 miles not really a long distance. The car with me now for almost 7 months, it's very good and it saves benzine.
I have a 2013 Spark and I go to Ohio from SC quite often approximately 486 miles and even when gas prices are high I fill up (9 gallon tank) in SC and go about half way still with 1/4 of a tank left to refuel, I will get to Ohio and usually have about 1/4 left appox. cost $50. I went last month when gas prices were low same stop to refuel and my total cost from SC to Ohio was about $42 and had over 1/2 tank when I got there. Very travel friendly car.
