'97 crown vic slight rough idle
97 crown vic. overheated due to alternator bolt snapping and now slight rough idle and starts a little shaky. changed plugs, checked for blown head gasket changed pcv valve & cleaned throttle body & maf sensor. checked for vacuum leaks. and i also have some sore of exaust leak i believe because at moving speeds you can hear a weird pinging noise and also when start/ idle.
what could be the problem?
thanks in advance
what could be the problem.... meaning what could be making it idle rough.
prob.the mass air sensor or check the throttle body..it might not be opening at the right moments
the car was a smooth as butter before the alternator bolt snapped which caused it to overheat for approximately 2 minutes. i was fast acting and pulled over and turned it off
well...the belts probably the prob. but i don't knowe how bad it was or is so i really can't help man sorry
the belt is new but could it be an idler pulley?
