my 2009 chevy cobalt has the check enegine light on and we replaced the coolant fuse and it blow when we first inserted it? how do i know my coolant fan is still good?

My info shows two coolant fuses, fan 1 and fan 2, 2 different relays. You could use jumper wires from battery for voltage and ground, do use inline fuse, to fan. If the fan runs ok and doesn't blow the fuse, The fan motor would appear to be ok.
