timing belt

Asked by Apr 10, 2007 at 10:16 AM about the 2003 Honda Odyssey

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,

I just bought a Honda Odyssey 2003 with 55K.  The manual says to replace the timing belt after 60,000 miles and when I called the dealer they told me to replace it at 90,000.  Now I am confused about replacing at 60,000 miles or 90,000 miles.  Please advise.

Thanks,
Chirag

15,000

Dear Chirag-- I am confused too. My source, www.gates.com, says that it should be changed at 105,000. I would probably go with the dealership suggestion. After all, there is no harm done if you change it too soon. And you don't even want to think about the problems caused if you change it too late. Good luck from Bovan.
