My 05 honda pilot acts like its not getting gas

Asked by Jun 08, 2016 at 07:20 PM about the 2005 Honda Pilot

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

its starts like normal and goes into gear fine but when I give it gas it sputters and wont get over about 10 mph if I push the pedal harder it just acts like its getting no gas at all. I thought it would be the fuel filter but all the research I have done says it has a lifetime fuel filter that doesn't need changing

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
