When is it recommended to drive with Overdrive Off or On? What difference does it make whether O/D is Off or On whilst driving?

Overdrive is basically for cruising at highway speads and fuel efficiancy. It should be kept on as a rule, unless you are towing or sport driving. Some cars will shift sooner with it on, others its just an extra tall gear. If its off you will generally run at higher RPM's which gives you more power at the sacrifice of fuel efficiancy.
