honda accord euro 2005 cruise control failure

Asked by Oct 12, 2014 at 12:53 AM about the 2005 Honda Accord

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When the cruise control button on the steering wheel is depressed the green cc light
comes on but then goes out when my finger is removed from the button. The switch will no
longer keep the cc selection light on and I therefore can initiate cc.

Start by checking the brake light switch. It's located on the brake peddle where it hinge's under the steering wheel.

The brake pedal disconnects the cruise engage function. It should not prevent the "Cruise Main" light from latching. What else can you suggest?

What will cause the cc "main light" from latching, (staying on), when initiated from the steering wheel mounted switch?

The green cruise control light comes on when I press the cruise button on the steering wheel but it goes off the second I stop pressing the CC button. Is there a fuse for the cruise control on a 2004 Honda Accord LX? Any solution would be helpful. Thanks Andy
