i just replaced my blower motor in my 1990 gmc sierra but now its grinding. Help!

i just replaced my blower motor in my 1990 gmc sierra 1500 bc it stopped working. like every GM fan it
got worn in one spot and wouldnt run so i changed it. but now it is grinding?
