what is wrong with my tranny

itndoesnt want to go into gear when first started but after warmed up it works
fine

That could be either a front pump gone bad or the shift solenoids are sticky, I'm thinking the solenoids based on what you said about when it gets warm, as the temp comes the solenoids warm up enough to soften the varnish and they start working, you can try servicing the transmission and adding a quart of TransX to the fluid be it may not work, you usually in the end wind up replacing the solenoids. HTH
