What do I need to replace/repair to fix the heater in my 1997 GMC Jimmy?

Asked by Amanda Feb 07, 2016 at 09:46 PM about the 1997 GMC Jimmy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The heater in my 1997 GMC Jimmy does not always work. When we first
get in the car (out of the garage in winter), the blower motor works - and
then stops at some point later, starting and stopping randomly. We have
replaced the blower motor connector which looked burnt up, and also the
blower motor resistor. Neither fixed the problem. We didn't think it was the
blower motor itself since it works off and on.

Very possible the blower motor itself. Usually the blower motor resistor would fix the problem.
