2000 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck has no voltage coming to the fuel pump. What could cause this?
Relay is fine. Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, 2 strange fuel vapor valves that showed under OBDII codes. Hooked up the fuel lines running from the tank and ran a hot/grnd wire from the battery to the fuel pump housing on top the tank and the truck runs fine. Supreme, no codes or anything. Fuel pressure stayed at a steady 50psi. Any help would be appreciated.
It sound,s like the relay wire is bad,the one that go,s to fuel pump, and fire,s it.
Have you checked all fuse,s?
Yes, I have checked all of the fuses and they appear to be fine. I've even swapped a few out just to test them. So, if the wire going to the fuel pump from the relay is bad, would you think this would be something I could replace or would it require a dealer to do this? Thanks for your answers! It very much appreciated.
If you have wiring skill,s you may can do this, but it will involve removing the fuse block where the relay is,and run wire from it to the pump, before you try this, check the ground at the fuel pump,it may be the one that is bad.
