i put new seats in my 2002 silverado the new seats don't have seat belts and the old seats had the seat belts made into them now what do i need to do to add seat belts
You will have to mount new ones- buy the belts and drill holes in the floor to attach them- but first look to see where the old ones attached- the old mounting points on the floor may line up- seat belts are attached to the floor- no seat belts are mounted to seats because seats can tear loose in an accident
Sounds like you got seats for an older model. My Nephew's '03 Silverado has the same seat belt set up. I'd return the seats and ask for an exchange or refund. Mounting seat belt anchors incorrectly can cause serious injury or death in a collision. Using incorrect mounting hardware can do the same. Be safe and get the correct seats for your Sierra! you need to use seats from the same year or newer because all newer silverados have them mounted in the seats.
