why won't my 2002 gmc envoy start?

I have a new battery and alternator.  it starts with a jump
start but once it off for a while it doesn't start.

If it is turning over with a jump, and then starting, there would be a bad electrical connection somewhere, or a problem with the starter. Makes sure the battery cables are in good shape, clean & tight.
