I have a 2005 yukon that won't start. The battery and fuses are good. When I turn key there is no sound or clicking. Have power everywhere on the vehicle. What u think?
Have you tried to start it in neutral? Could be a safety switch.
or ignition switch itself.
Tried it in neutral. That doesn't work either. Yes it may be ignition switch
It did this about two years ago and I took the battery out and got it checked out at auto zone and it was fine. Put it back in the truck and the next day it fired up like nothing was wrong with it. Had no problems with it until today
Just to add to tennisshoes answer, all so check your starter.
Ok try this: turn on the headlights and try to crank it over, if the headlights go out and stay out or slowly start to come back then you have a major voltage drop, double check the battery cables, make sure they are really clean, none of that black corrosion, check the jumper point make sure it is tight and clean, and of course the starter connection.
