How can immobiliser be reset? Is there a reset button somewhere?

Have tried disconnecting battery, turns over then cuts out, could there be some kind of
step by step method ?

Typical you have to have the dealer or a locksmith rest it. On some car depending on make and model some shops with their scanner can rest but depends on your vehicle
