i have a 1990 geo tracker with a bad 1.6 liter engine will a 2.0 liter engine from a 1995 suzuki sidekick fit, and are the emc the same etc

You would have to look at the two vehicles side-by-side to see any differences visually. Take the information such as VIN and engine size to a local auto parts recycler and have them look it up in the "Hollanders Interchange Manual".

sometimes you can compare the parts that are the same through rockauto.com If it takes some of the same parts, might make the job easier...that way you could salvage those identical parts~
