Transmission won't shift out of first it they say it's incorrect ratio for 2nd and 3rd gear

Them saying that it is incorrect gear ratio means that there is a diagnostic trouble code present in the computer. Like Rowefast said possible solenoid problem. If the 2-3 solenoid is bad or the wiring to it is bad it can prevent the trans from shifting out of the initial gear when moving. Did they give you the code associated with it? Second gear is p0732 3rd is p0733. ........this is an example of the p0732 code, component, condition, symptom chart........................ P0732 SSA, SSB, or internal parts Second gear failure.
