How much does it cost to replace head gasket?

V6 or 4 cylinder? Or V8 if it was offered that year. Labor rate is around $87.00 an hour the gasket set is usually around $125 ish, plus at least 4-6 hours to replace it. So maybe $600? Plus coolant and any other miscellaneous things.

I bet it will cost more like $1000 for your truck. Thats if you get a shop to do it.

I would guess anywhere from 800-1200 bucks depending on the shop. If your somewhat mechanically inclined your way better off to do it yourself....it's really not as difficult as you would think

These numbers are all very close. As a former Dodge service advisor, I would agree with any of these based on your geographic location, as service rates vary.

my only reply is that i would be sure its the head gasket, if its the v6 or v8 magnum motor, i would place my bet on a cracked head instead
