Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My nephew was driving my
automatic 1999 Dodge Dakota
and everything was fine. He
parked the truck and when he
went back to drive it wouldn't go
shift into reverse. All the other
gears work and even in neutral
the truck will go forwards but no
reverse. Can you tell me what
may be wrong?

First, check transmission fluid and see if it's low. If so, fill it properly and this might solve the problem. If the problem persists, it's mechanical; could be the reverse clutch or the control solenoid.
