Hi here is the info you need....//A combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is used on all gas powered engines. It is located on the top of the fuel pump module. It contains a diaphragm, calibrated springs and a fuel return valve. The internal fuel filter (Side View—Filter/Regulator) is also part of the assembly......// 1 - INTERNAL FUEL FILTER 2 - FUEL FLOW TO FUEL INJECTORS 3 - FUEL FILTER/FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR 4 - O-RINGS 5 - EXCESS FUEL BACK TO TANK 6 - FUEL INLET 7 - CALIBRATED SPRINGS 8 - RUBBER GROMMET AT PUMP MODULE 9 - LOCKING TAB

Marie, on your Stratus, the fuel filter mounts to the frame above the rear of the fuel tank. The inlet and outlet tubes are permanently attached to the filter.

You will have to remove the rear seat, disconnect the pump electrical connector, remove the fuel cap(for pressure), drain fuel from tank if too full, remove the tank and disconnect the lines. Do it backwards to put the new filter. That said, don't go there if your filter is not an issue. It's a big job if you're not equipped and skilled. Since your filter is between the fuel cap and the tank, it should not cause any issue with your fuel delivery.
