Why does the rear control for the heater work, but when i turn the switch for the front, I get nothing?

That would be the heater blower motor resistor. it is located right next to the blower motor under the dash on the drivers side. I recommend changing out the wire with the connector as well since they melt in time. It is also called a pigtail.

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango. While driving, I lost all power to the wheels, yet all electrical and engine seemed to be operating.
