what's does it mean when I get reading no compression on P3?

Asked by hlawson0425 Jul 17, 2017 at 01:18 PM about the 2001 Dodge Dakota

Question type: General

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota, and have changed fuel injector, plugs and
wires but mechanic says he can't get compression on P3 when he does a
reading test. The truck runs ok but sometimes bogs down during shifting time
on take off.

1 Answer

If you have no compression on one cylinder your truck will run poorly. If it is a burned valve the head could be rebuilt but if it is a piston or the rings you will need to rebuild the engine,
