Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 dodge Dakota 3.9 v6. Oil smells like it has gas
in it, won’t idle and is making a ticking sound. Any
ideas?

You might have a leak fuel injector and the ticking sound is from thinning oil due to the fuel. Have it looked at ASAP before it gets worse.

Makes sense. Had someone tell me it might be a burnt piston or rings but the injector sound more likely. Thanks
